With a baby on the way in August, I decided it was best to cast on a baby blanket for him now and hopefully have it finished before summer got scary hot. I have picked out his crib bedding so decided to do a blanket in those colors.
I went to my favorite LYS (Charity's in Altoona) and Kathy helped me pick out a wonderful Cascade 128 Superwash in Navy, Red, Cream, and a Baby Denim color that had to be ordered.
I cast on the Modern Baby Blanket right away and this yarn is wonderful. It is dreamy soft and is knitting up very quickly. I will probably not end up doing as many repeats because of the thickness of the yarn but find it nice to be able to knit and knit without having to watch a pattern.
